Blitz Stormwater Kerb Inlets

Blitz Stormwater Kerb Inlets

The Blitz Stormwater Kerb Inlet addresses various problems experienced by engineers. Being a modular unit it is assembled quickly and efficiently to any required length from 1,2m up to 6m or more.

FEATURES:
  1. Loose covers are manufactured under stringent quality controlled conditions with special emphasis on quality of concrete, strength, finish positioning and cover of reinforcing.
  2. A prefabricated angle iron bearer protects the span of the kerb inlet and increases the load bearing capacity of the cover slabs.
  3. Reinforced concrete U-sections eliminate the use of brickwork and are installed in minutes. This is made even easier with the use of the U-section lifter supplied free of charge on request with the first order.
  4. Angle iron and cover slabs are manufactured in medium and heavy duty versions for different applications.
  5. Loose covers ensure cleaning and maintenance are hassle free.
  6. Most importantly when the kerb inlet is damaged, only the damaged component need be replaced, and not the complete unit.

Catchpits can be ordered with 3 different outlets.

When ordering the Blitz Kerb Inlets it is important to state which outlet is required.

The outlet should be on the side of the kerb inlet in the direction of the water flow. Viewed from the street, looking at the kerb inlet (eg. If the water flow is from left to right, a right outlet is needed or vice versa.)

The outlet section also serves as an end plate on that side. To block off the other side, one loose end plate must be ordered for left and right outlets and two end plates for centre outlets.
